SoftDev Announces ESRD Help Desk – HUBZone Contract Award

SoftDev continues to prove its placement as the End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Program data quality expert with a competitive HUBZone award for the CMS ESRD Help Desk contract. This effort brings SoftDev’s ESRD expertise to the Center for Medicare (CM), supporting CM in its data quality interests. With streamlined processes and the added benefit of cognitive solutions, SoftDev is excited to bring innovative ideas forward for the ongoing benefit of the ESRD Program across the nation.  “SoftDev is invested in making sure the ESRD community has what it needs – from every perspective. With AI and ML in our toolset, we can operate at lightning speed without compromising on quality. This is an exciting time for me, personally, and for my team. I could not be prouder of what we have achieved. The SoftDev team has continued to demonstrate its creativity with new ideas and innovations that serve the interests of CMS, , providers, and patients tackling kidney disease,” stated Robin Kaiser, President at SoftDev.

The ESRD Help Desk supports CM’s mission by providing case management services to Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plans (MAPDs) that ensure proper payment under the ESRD Program. The ESRD Program continues to account for a significant portion of the Medicare budget, approximately 7% of the Medicare fee-for-service spending despite representing less than 1% of the total Medicare population. At the same time, ESRD Patient populations are increasing by 5% and the number of dialysis providers increase by almost 7% annually, impacting the burden of data submissions for dialysis providers to increase proportionally. Given these complicating factors, CM requires clear confidence in that ability to reconcile discrepancies and ensure proper payments are made through the ESRD Help Desk.
