SoftDev Awarded CMSS Data Management & Analytics Contract

SoftDev was awarded a contract with the Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS) to support their cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) entitled “Improving Adult Immunization Rates for COVID-19, Influenza, and Routine Adult Vaccinations through Partnerships with Medical Subspecialty Professional Societies” (CDC-RFAIP21-2111). CMSS serves as the lead organization for this project and serves as a catalyst to work with subspecialty societies and 50-70 health care systems to incorporate the CDC’s Standards for Adult Immunization Practice into clinical care and drive adult immunization through guidelines, education, and quality improvement initiatives.

SoftDev will support CMSS and its society partners in identification of metrics, building the infrastructure, collecting data, reporting, data analytics and visualizations, and stakeholder data support for the 50-70 health systems and occupational health partners.

Dr. Kennedy actively advocates for CMS and the community to do what is right, not what is easy.

SoftDev Announces ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Certification

ISO certification after an extensive audit of the company’s information security management system. SoftDev’s  ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification will augment our existing ISO 9001:2015 certification and CMMI-DEV ML3 appraisal.

ISO/IEC 27001:2013 is an international standard to manage information security. The standard was published jointly by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). It details requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system (ISMS) with the aim to help organizations make the information assets they hold more secure.

SoftDev Announces CMS Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Common Electronic Data Interchange (CEDI) Contract Award for Second Time

SoftDev will continue its work in support of the Center for Medicare as we gain this second award to provide services under the CMS Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Common Electronic Data Interchange (CEDI) contract. As the singular subcontractor to National Government Services, Inc., SoftDev provides help desk and systems engineering services support to CEDI users. The CEDI provides a single, electronic front end solution for all Medicare DME suppliers. CEDI works closely with software vendors, billing services, clearinghouses, and Trading Partners (submitters) for their Medicare DME electronic transactions. All DME MAC electronic claims (X12 837P and NCPDP D.0) as well as X12 276 transactions are collected by CEDI. CEDI also returns all DME MAC electronic front end acknowledgements/reports, X12 835 electronic remittance advices and X12 277 claim status response transactions.

In addition to strengthening SoftDev’s help desk portfolio, SoftDev’s ongoing exposure to the CEDI system provides knowledge of CEDI system, user community, and DME MAC electronic claims.

SoftDev Earns Spot Among SAMHSA IDIQ Awardees  

SAMHSA IDIQ Award / Domains II and V / Awarded 8/1/22

Baltimore, MD— August 1, 2022 SoftDev Earns Spot Among SAMHSA IDIQ Awardees 

Expanding into a new agency, SoftDev was awarded as a subcontractor on Domain II: Statistical Projects and Domain V: Technical Assistance and Training Projects. The SAMHSA IDIQ will support the core principles and five priority areas outlined by the SAMHSA Strategic Plan FY2019-FY2023. The five priority areas include:  

  • Combating the Opioid Crisis through the Expansion of Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery Support Services  
  • Addressing Serious Mental Illness and Serious Emotional Disturbances  
  • Advancing Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery Support Services for Substance Use  
  • Improving Data Collection, Analysis, Dissemination, and Program and Policy Evaluation  
  • Strengthening Health Practitioner Training and Education  

Under Domain II, SoftDev will expand are existing data expertise by delivering sampling designs and statistical methods; acquisition and development of data; analyses of complex quantitative data; and development, implementation, and testing of quality tools.

Domain V will expand SoftDev’s technical assistance portfolio with services including the maintenance of training programs; development of technical assistance and training materials and mechanisms; and the provision of all related services necessary to implement high quality technical assistance.

ESRD Help Desk Program Named as a FedHealthIT Innovation Award Recipient

FedHealthIT published its list of 8th Annual FedHealthIT Innovation Award winners. Among those named was SoftDev’s prime effort, the ESRD Help Desk. This award recognizes and honors the Federal Health technology and consulting community by celebrating programs nominated and selected by their peers for driving innovation and results across the Department of Veterans Affairs, Military Health, Health and Human Services, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

The ESRD Help Desk supports the Center for Medicare’s purpose by providing ESRD Subject Matter Expertise and case management services to Medicare Advantage plans when a plan assumes improper Medicare payment. In collaboration with CMS, SoftDev has delivered process innovation that has matured and expedited data reconciliation at a far faster pace. The significance of these cases is that each case represents beneficiary lives– patients with ESRD – which have financial implications on their payments for treatment. The Medicare Advantage Organizations (MAOs) have expressed tremendous support and gratitude for the new process and the quick resolution to ESRD patient claim issues that have existed for many years. SoftDev is proud to have delivered these improvements to the community and, at the same time, honored our mission to improve lives. Robin Kaiser Named as FedHealthIT 100 Hall of Fame Honoree

FedHealthIT published its list of honorees for the 2021 FedHealthIT 100 Hall of Fame today. Among those named was SoftDev President and CEO, Robin Kaiser. This honor represents a distinct group of individuals who have distinguished themselves time and time again as winners of the FedHealthIT100 awards for the impact they are making within the Federal Health community and in support of Federal Health missions.

Through her ongoing service to the mission of the End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Program, Ms. Kaiser’s impact has been to improve the lives of ESRD beneficiaries, their families, providers, and the federal contractors that support them.
