The new fiscal year brings big expectations. With a focus on efficiency, AI-driven innovation, and product-focused delivery, government and industry must work together more closely than ever. Success will require leaders who engage with intention, humility, and a shared sense of mission.

The 2026 Engage Federal Health 150 honorees are those leaders. Chosen by their peers, they are recognized not for their titles, but for how they lead. They listen. They create space for others. They build, share insight, and connect across boundaries to drive forward real, workable solutions.

These leaders are already shaping how the VA, HHS, CMS, Defense Health, and other Federal Health agencies deliver services to the people they serve. As we prepare to begin this new fiscal year, they are the leaders others look to for guidance, collaboration, and momentum.

The list of 2026 honorees and the criteria used for their selection are included below. Thank you to everyone who submitted nominations and those volunteers who took part in the review, continuing to elevate those who are #doingitright.

What Sets Engage Leaders Apart?

Nominees were evaluated using a prescribed rubric, with the following six characteristics serving as core evaluation criteria. These qualities reflect what it truly means to lead with purpose, collaboration, and impact in today’s Federal environment:

Open Communication – They share insights at events, through published pieces, or on platforms like LinkedIn because they believe transparency and shared knowledge drive progress.

Mission-Focused Thinking – They look beyond their own organization. They prioritize the needs of the communities they serve, seeking feedback and collaboration to achieve better outcomes.

Reliable Partnership – They lead with clarity, humility, and accountability. They are trusted partners who understand their roles and consistently deliver on shared goals.

Community Presence – They are active in the community. Whether at events, in working groups, or through mentorship, they contribute and help lift the entire ecosystem.

Perspective-Seeking – They welcome input from a wide range of voices –users, partners, and community members – to shape more complete and effective solutions.

Innovation-Minded – They challenge the status quo. By championing new ideas, processes, and technologies, they help drive progress and adaptability in a complex environment.

These characteristics drive Engage GovCon and provide a model for how leaders across government and industry can collaborate, engage, and thrive. The official announcement is available here.

SoftDev Incorporated Service Delivery Team Appraised at CMMI Services Maturity Level 3.CMMI Level 3 for Service

SoftDev Incorporated (SoftDev) announced today that its Service Delivery Team has been appraised at level 3 of ISACA’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®) for Services. The appraisal was performed by Saganika Corporation. This appraisal demonstrates SoftDev’s commitment to continuous improvement, quality delivery, and the consistent achievement of customer objectives.

CMMI is a proven, outcome-based performance model and the globally accepted standard for improving capability, optimizing business performance and aligning operations to business goals.

An appraisal at Maturity Level 3 indicates the organization is performing at a “defined” level. At this level, processes are well characterized and understood, and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods. The organization’s set of standard processes, which is the basis for Maturity Level 3, is established and improved over time.

Robin Major, President & CEO of SoftDev, stated:
“This achievement reflects our team’s relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation in service delivery. At SoftDev, we believe quality is not a one-time goal, but a continuous journey. Earning a CMMI Maturity Level 3 appraisal demonstrates to our federal and commercial customers that we are committed to delivering measurable value and consistent performance across all engagements.”
